They are the essence of beauty and the fragility of life, the power and the fleeting nature of existence.
I like to paint simple wildflowers that I enlarge to show their extraordinary architecture, which few have the perception to see.
Flowers are not just simple patches of color that brighten the landscape or elegant, fragrant shapes to put in a vase to decorate the dining room.
They are powerful sexual signals of nature that enable pollination and thus the reproduction of life.
My works are not still lifes, they are living lives.
My flowers are not cut; they are shown at a moment in life
