José Manuel Ciria

José Manuel Ciria is an artist who has developed one of the most complex and suggestive discourses in current Spanish painting. He is usually defined as the author of a personal synthesis between the two lines of force of historical abstraction: the gestural and the geometric.

José Manuel Ciria paints with overwhelming confidence, with energy, passion and knowledge. He embraces abstract painting, gives it expression, nourishes it with contemporary concerns and invites with his production the most current of the representations of contemporary art today, coexisting with more technological artistic procedures typical of our time.
